Then tighten the cap. Then prime some more and crack the return fitting on the engine. It should be the 19mm fitting on the left that's connected to the return line to the tanks.

The earliest version (in the '13) did not have a fuel rail system that works, so had all of the problems pulling hills as mentioned plus my check engine light would come on 10+ times a day. I drive a 2016 KW T880 with that engine set at 485 and a 13 speed trans. I run Interstate 78 through Eastern Pa which is pretty rolling.
