Excessive DEF usage - 2021 L5P. I haven't been here for awhile because my 2015 D'Max LML was pretty flawless. Well I now have a 2021 L5P and I absolutely love it, especially towing our 37' fifth wheel. Well, I love it all except for the amount of DEF it is using while towing. We recently completed a 2400 mile trip, of which 2000 was towing.

The truck has 73k miles on it, deleted since about 65k miles. In the past few weeks, it developed a notable vibration that will shake the entire cab of the truck between 1200-1800 rpm, regardless of whether driving, sitting still, in park, in neutral. You can do a level lift like Rough Country and Super Lift and turn up the keys and 35s will clear provided you don't go to negative on offset. I chose not to use the stock short section as the hose I used is very good quality and retains its form.

The LP5 is the 1st year that GM is making the motor totally in house vs the previous Izuzu diesel influence. One really positive thing is that the Bosch injection system is gone for 17 and the Denso system is in. Mileage improved a little and I have never reset my 2nd mileage meter which reads 16.2 mpg for the average life of the truck with say 55% city and 35% highway and 10% towing.
